JCI - passion for innovation!! where future leaders are trained!!!!

JCI is a non-governmental organization  of young active citizens age 18 to 40  who are engaged and  committed to creating impact in their communities. JCI  was founded on
the 13th of October 1915 by Henry Giessenbier. Active citizens are individuals invested in the future of our world. JCI gathers active citizens from all sectors of society. It has members in about 124 countries, and regional or national organizations in many of them. It has consultative status with the Council of Europe, with the Economic Social Council of the United Nations and with UNESCO

We develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to make informed decisions and take action. As globally minded young people, we all have rights, responsibilities and share goals. We find targeted solutions to local issues benefitting our communities, our world and our future. Embracing new ideas, collaboration and diversity, we have the passion and courage to address the critical challenges of our time.Its members are called JAYCEES (from JC's).

   How is JCI different from other NGOs?
As JCI members, we take initative to solve local challenges. Not just focus on charity or service, we are focused on sustainable impact locally and globally. It only takes one active citizen to change the world. Be that active citizen today.

JCI  FEATURES :

1.JCI senates:
Some members of JCI are given life membership of the organization, and become "senators". The JCI Senate was founded in 1952 in Melbourne, Australia; most countries with a Junior Chamber International also have an affiliated JCI Senate organization.

2.JCI Creed
We believe, That faith in god gives meaning and purpose to human life, That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations, That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise, That government should be of laws rather than of men, That earth's great treasure lies in human personality, And that service to humanity is the best work of life.

3. JCI mission
To Provide Development Opportunities that empower young people to create positive changes.

From within the walls of the soul of this organization wherein the foundation of character and good citizenship are laid, I hope a message will come in the sometime of tomorrow that will stir the people towards the establishment of a permanent and everlasting world peace. - Henry Giessenbier (1892-1935).
